NMSG 2010 Symposium: Blending Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) Simulation to Better Support Training & Experimentation
The NATO Modelling & Simulation Group has opened the period to present abstracts for the MSG Annual Symposium on Modelling & Simulation: MSG-076 “Blending Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) Simulation to Better Support Training & Experimentation”.
The Symposium has been organised in the close proximity of Utrecht (Soesterberg Conference Center) in the Netherlands for the 16th and 17th of September.
It has been a constant priority for NATO and Nations to find and use in the most effective way the available technology that Modelling & Simulation can put in their hands to better and more effectively accomplish their missions.
New types of operations conducted by NATO forces in non conventional battle spaces found in anti-terrorist operations, urban areas, anty-piracy operations or support to natural disasters, to name a few, drive a new set of requirements for NATO to ensure that from the soldier on site up to the top of the command structure, all personnel receive the appropriate education and training required to warranty success.
And it is in these application areas of Training, Education and Experimentation where Modelling & Simulation is identified as the best cost-efective means to fulfil those emerging requirements. The three classical areas of M&S: Live, Virtual and Constructive can be blended together in the right proportion to support identified current needs and consequently providing today support for “Training”, and also help anticipating to the future by supporting “Experimentation”.
All of the NATO MSG Symposia, and MSG-076 is not an exception, are open to NATO, Partnership For Peace, Mediterranean Dialogue and Contact Countries. Thus, we welcome attendance from anyone with an interest in sharing their vision on this field to put M&S LVC technology in support of NATO interests. Please, note that the deadline for reception of abstracts will be the 30th of May 2010.
